Swedish Massage

60 minutes: $80.00
90 minutes: $120.00

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $120.00
90 minutes: $160.00

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Cupping

60 minutes: $120.00

*Can be done by itself or added to any massage for an additional $45.00

Massage Cupping therapy is an adaptation of an ancient technique that dates back as early as 1550 B.C. The cup is positioned over the area of the body to be treated and suction is created using a vacuum gun or bulb. The more traditional method involves inserting a flame into a glass cup to create the vacuum. The suction level can range from light to heavy, and the movements performed by the therapist can be stimulating or sedating. These cups are moved over the skin using gliding, shaking, popping and rotating techniques while gently pulling up on the cup, or may be parked for a short time to facilitate joint mobilization or soft tissue release. This suction reaches deep into the soft tissue, attachments and organs to help improve circulation + lymph flow.

What are the benefits of cupping?

- Decreases and relieves pain and inflammation

- Releases deep muscular issues

- Releases and softens scar tissue

- Lifts and stretches soft tissue

- Increases range of movement

- Opens chest and lungs

- Improves circulation

- Drains lymph fluid + clear drainage pathways

- Sedates the nervous system

- Opens energy flow of the body

- Clears old residue out of the muscle and soft tissue

What is the discoloration that occurs after some treatments?

The discoloration, called a cup kiss, indicates the release of intense stagnation in the area. This is not a bruise and will dissipate anywhere between a few hours and a few days.

Cupping therapy cannot be performed when there is a wound, infection, burn, or inflammation on the skin surface. Clients are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids following their cupping sessions and to avoid baths, swimming or hot tubs for at least 8 hours after their cupping session.

Energy Work

90 minutes: $160.00

Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a "life force", and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. And once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.

Lymphatic Drainage/Post Surgery Massage

60 minutes: $100.00

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, LD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from post surgery, pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.

Myofascial Massage

90 minutes: $120.00

Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.
